The Studio Museum in Harlem is one of the country’s leading institutions exhibiting work by African artists. Recently, the museum announced the three artists who will be participating in its renowned residency program this year. Kentucky-born photographer Allison Janae Hamilton, Los Angelino Sable Elyse Smith, and Harlem native Tschabalala Self will be living and working in the historic neighborhood for the next year, while their work will be exhibited at the Studio Museum on 125th Street.
